About MPBOU

The National Policy of Education (NPE), 1986, highlighted that distance education is very important medium of progress and support of higher education. For the progress and support of distance education, Central Advisory Board of Education took an important step in VIIIth year plan that each state should set up a state open university for distance education. On this foundation, Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University (MPBOU) was recognized under Act of State Assembly in 1991.
  
Objectives

Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University (MPBOU) was recognized under following objectives:

•    To broaden and spread out Higher Education through reaching un-reached places and apply distance education mode via rising communication and information technology.
•    To encourage national incorporation and incorporated growth of human personality for community’s well being.
•    To maintain standards and support Distance Education.

Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University is named after the famous King Bhoj who was a Great Patron of Learning. Raja Bhoj Deva was the most memorable of all the Parmar rulers in Malva. He was one of utmost kings in ancient India. He ranks with legendary king Vikramaditiya of Ujjayani. Both the kings had collected enormous capital of legend and awareness around them. Bhojadeva was well known, not only as a great soldier, but also as a builder, an author, a scholar and a great supporter of learning. To honor his magnitude in learning and noteworthy contributions throughout education to society, the Madhya Pradesh Government determined to establish Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University in Bhopal.

MBA Admission
The MBA program from Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University is of 3 years duration and student needs to complete it in 6 years maximum. The eligibility for this course is Graduation. The fee of this MBA program is Rs. 11,500 per annum.
