Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) was established in 2007 by the Chairperson of Reliance Industries Mr. Mukesh Ambani. The university has been promoted by GSPC i.e., Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation. The main aim of University is to provide energy education to student and to research in the field of Oil and Gas. The different courses offered by University are MBA, Executive MBA, B. Tech and M. Tech related to Oil and Gas sector. University also offers M. Tech in Nuclear Engineering course. The MBA programme of university was approved by AICT in 2007. The separate management school has been set by the University for the MBA course under the name of School Of Petroleum Management. 120 seats are available for the MBA. Duration of MBA programme is two years and it’s a full time course.
Eligibility
The candidates who have gives the Common Admission Test (CAT) examination is eligible for the admission in University. The candidate should have Graduate degree from any Indian University with 50% and above aggregated marks. Final Year’s candidates who are waiting for results may also apply.
Selection Process
Selection process has the three steps which are Verification of Documents, Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. The candidate who cracks all this three stages with obtained criteria gets the admission in Institute.
Qualifying Criteria
To qualify for admission candidates must get marks like this
- In CAT they should get 40% and above
- In Group Discussion they have to purse 20%
- To clear out Personal Interview candidates need 35%
- Bachelor degree performance must have above than 10%
